The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of physician referrals concerning disorders of speech, language, cognition, or swallowing in patients. This role requires working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication, along with one to three years of experience in a hospital setting. A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for the clinical fellowship year is required, and availability to work at least two Sundays per month is mandatory.
The Speech Language Pathologist must be a specialist in human communications, including normal development and deficits in communication. Work responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of physician referrals for patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, or swallowing. The Speech Language Pathologist must work as a member of an interdisciplinary team with other professionals to provide optimal patient care. QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication preferred. One to three years in a hospital setting. Current BLS certification required within three (3) months of hire. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for the clinical fellowship year. Ability to work weekends (at least 2 Sundays per month).
