The role is responsible for ensuring the quality of nutritional care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients by performing assessments, making recommendations, and providing patient education. This includes developing, monitoring, and implementing nutrition care plans and managing the nutrition office operations.
A Bachelor's degree and a current, active license/certification as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment are mandatory, along with registration with the American Dietetic Association. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is also required.
