The primary duties involve performing high-quality MRI exams on patients, ensuring patient safety by adhering to protocols, and administering contrast when necessary. Technologists must also adjust equipment factors like TR, TE, and field of view to produce optimal images.
Candidates must possess ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification and a State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable, along with BLS certification. One year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred, and a venipuncture certificate might be required based on state regulations.
