The Clinical Dietitian conducts nutrition assessments for at-risk patients to determine and develop appropriate nutrition therapy plans, documenting findings in patient records using a multidisciplinary approach. Responsibilities also include serving as a resource for staff, participating in research, monitoring foodservice personnel, and ensuring optimal nutritional service delivery to patients.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and complete a Dietetic Internship or supervised practice program in a healthcare setting. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required, or the candidate must be registry eligible and pass the exam within six months of internship completion.
