As an Awake Overnight Counselor, the primary role involves providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting, focusing on building independence and improving quality of life. Duties include administering medication, implementing treatment plans, assisting with daily living activities, and performing nightly cleaning and filing.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred, along with experience working with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injury being strongly preferred. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid US driver's license for at least six months, and must obtain CPR, First Aid, and MAP certifications within specified timeframes.

As an Awake Overnight Counselor, you will provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a small group residential setting or an individual living arrangement. In your role you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by either building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life.
Awake Overnight Counselors have a range of duties including have a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), implementing treatment plans, and assisting people with activities of daily living.
Additional responsibilities include nightly cleaning and filing.
