Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Heart of Chelsea, New York

• Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in New York, New York, has an opening for a full time Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team.
• Applicants must hold a current license or be able to sit for the VTNE.
• Responsibilities include strong client communication skills, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, radiography, lab chemistry and records management.
• Scheduling flexibility is required.
• Salary based on experience, experienced technicians higher, both include a rich benefit package.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory work
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Provide excellent client communication and education
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• Valid NYS Veterinary Technician license
• Experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
