The primary role involves providing expert vascular access services, including the bedside insertion of PICCs, midlines, extended dwell catheters, and peripheral IV catheters at client sites. This specialist is also responsible for examining existing vascular access devices and educating patients and staff on procedures.
Candidates must hold a current RN license in the working state and possess current ACLS and BCLS certifications, along with a completed vascular access competency skills checklist. Essential competencies include strong communication, personal effectiveness, and a focus on patient/client needs.
The job of PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist was established for the purpose/s of providing expert
vascular access services to the patients of our clients. Working within the guidelines set forth by the state
in which these employees are licensed and also working within the guidelines set forth by the Company,
the PICC RN/ Vascular Access Specialist will maintain a high level of professionalism and skill.
