The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing, and coordinating patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This involves recognizing and treating physical and psychosocial changes specific to the age and population group served on the unit.
Candidates must be eligible for or licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in Pennsylvania and hold current CPR certification, with ACLS required for this specialty area or achieved shortly after hire. A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required, and while a BSN is preferred, experience requirements vary by specialty but generally favor acute care or specialty nursing experience.
