The Hospitalist will be responsible for admitting and rounding on medical and surgical patients aged 18 and older, with an average of 15-18 patients per day. The role includes working in a team with dedicated hospitalist nursing staff and specialty support.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board eligible or certified in Internal or Family Medicine. They should also be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa and have the authority to prescribe medications.
Average patients/day: 15-18 Admitting/Rounding on medical/surgical patients 18-years of age and older (adult), & non-maternity Shifts available: 5 on/5 off- 12-hour Day shift 7A-7P and occasional swing shift 12P-12A Days/Weekends/Holidays - shared equally amongst group Established Tele-hospitalist 7A-7P with local providers 2 med floors, 1 cardio,1 surgical, and consult in rehab/mental health Can cover ICU and perform procedures if desired, but this is NOT a requirement Improve the health of the people and communities we serve
