The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide high-quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals and maintaining accurate patient records.
Candidates must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, along with current certification through ARDMS or equivalent. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required, and 1-3 years of clinical experience is preferred.
Description We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing high-quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a patient-centered approach to ensure optimal care and comfort during procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams, based on physician orders. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring proper positioning and technique. Prepare and educate patients about the procedure, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring their comfort. Review and evaluate images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic value, making adjustments as needed. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic support. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including exam documentation and imaging results, in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in compliance with safety and infection control standards. Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best care possible. Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards, including HIPAA guidelines.
