The Clinical Pharmacist fulfills legal requirements by evaluating, selecting, procuring, and distributing drugs, alongside providing counseling and professional consultation under the Clinical Pharmacy Manager. This role involves interpreting physician orders, compounding and dispensing medications, supervising technicians, and participating in departmental Clinical and Quality Improvement programs.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor or Doctorate degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and have previous hospital or retail pharmacy experience. Required credentials include current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy, AHA/ARC BLS, and AHA ACLS/ARC ALS within nine months of hire, along with mandatory stroke education.
