The intern assists pharmacists by performing duties related to pharmaceutical care, including preparing, labeling, and distributing drugs under direct supervision. This role also involves monitoring inventory, maintaining records, and potentially receiving verbal medication orders when authorized.
Candidates must have completed a Board of Pharmacy approved technician course or be currently enrolled/accepted into an accredited professional academic pharmacy program and maintain satisfactory progress. A current registration as a pharmacy intern with the State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Knowledge of National, State, and Corporate regulations and standards. Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
