As a Certified Medication Technician, you will administer medications, conduct audits, and monitor clients' responses. You will also collaborate with healthcare providers and educate clients on medication usage.
Candidates must have a valid CMT certificate and a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Conduct regular medication audits and ensure accurate record-keeping. Monitor and document clients' response to medications. Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust medication plans as needed. Educate clients on medication usage and potential side effects. Maintain a safe and secure medication storage area. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

CMT certificate required High school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record for a minimum of 4 years. Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings. Minimum of 3 years of lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders for self, family member, or loved one, and the ability to appropriately share experience with clients. Someone who views clients’ needs with a high priority and who would be a strong advocate for them with other treatment providers. Someone who espouses a strong desire to help others.
