As a Nurse in a Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, you will provide nursing care and support to individuals recovering from substance abuse. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans and educate clients on health promotion.
Candidates must have a valid RN or LPN license and Basic Life Support certification. Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred, along with strong clinical and assessment skills.
Administer nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Conduct health assessments and monitor the physical and mental well-being of clients. Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate clients on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the recovery process. Requirements / Qualifications: Valid RN or LPN license issued from State. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/ Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ First Aid (FA) certification. Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment facility is preferred. Knowledge of addiction medicine and treatment protocols. Strong clinical and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Minimum of 3 years of lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders for self, family member, or loved one, and the ability to appropriately share experience with clients. Someone who views clients’ needs with a high priority and who would be a strong advocate for them with other treatment providers. Someone who espouses a strong desire to help others.
