The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients using therapeutic activities to improve daily living and work skills. They are responsible for developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and providing education to patients and their families.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy and possess a current Alabama license. At least one year of relevant experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation is required, along with BLS certification.

Evaluate patients using information from the patient, physicians, family members, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals aligned with the continuum of care. Demonstrate age‑appropriate care and clinical competency in professional equipment use and safety. Re‑evaluate patient progress and update plans as needed, ensuring accurate documentation and billing. Provide patient and family education to support ongoing success. 📌 What You Bring 1 year of relevant experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an approved program Current Alabama Occupational Therapist license (temporary permit accepted) Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment A patient‑focused approach with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills 💪 Physical & Sensory Expectations This role requires frequent bending, stair climbing, kneeling, reaching, lifting 10–34 lbs, standing, walking, and fine motor skills—common for hands‑on therapy work.
