Are you a college student, recent college graduate, or just someone is looking for an awarding career in physical therapy?
Well, then I may have the right position for you.
Hi, my name is Jordan Black, owner of Tristar Physical Therapy.
I remember so vividly being in your position… … do I apply to Physical Therapy School? … what about OT? … maybe I should become an Athletic Trainer! … how about taking a year off and figuring things out?
Once I made the decision to Apply to PT school my mind started to race some more… … what are the requirements to get in? … do I need to take the GRE? … is my GPA good enough? … there are only 30 seats! … will I get accepted?
That is when I also read the fine print on the applications… … Observation Hours … Hours of Clinical Experience … Letter of Reference from a Physical Therapist
Hmm… I didn’t know I needed all of that.
That is where my first jobs came into play.
It was a physical therapy aide… … aka physical therapy tech position as some people like to call it.
It was an outpatient physical therapy position… just like this one!
Such a great experience … I trained and worked alongside a wonderful physical therapist … I learned all about customer service and time management … I helped keep the office organized and running smoothly … I learned medical terminology, treatment plans, and modalities
But most importantly…
I learned that I wanted to become a PHYSICAL THERAPIST.
I wanted to help people!
Hopefully, that's not too cliché.
Fast forward to now…
I now own and operate a very successful physical therapy clinic here in Bean Station.
Over the past couple of years, we have been able to help 1000s of local residents.
The key "metrics" we pride ourselves on are not volume, the number of new patients, or gross revenue....
but our customer satisfaction and staff retention rates.
Most of our staff has been with us for 3+ years after hire, and the ones that do leave typically are the ones who move out of the area.
And for that, we are blessed to have such a great team here at Tristar.
I would love to have the opportunity to meet you and have a discussion with someone of your caliber.
I look forward to hearing from you, Jordan Black, PT, DPT
