The Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician will play a key role in patient care by assisting providers, conducting various eye tests such as visual acuity and tonometry, and accurately documenting patient history, test results, diagnoses, and treatment plans in the EMR. Responsibilities also include assisting during exams and minor procedures while maintaining strict infection control and confidentiality.
Candidates must possess 2 to 3+ years of experience in an ophthalmic or medical setting, demonstrating strong communication and multitasking abilities. Prior experience as a Medical Scribe or Ophthalmic Technician (COA/COT) is preferred, and knowledge of ocular pharmacology is considered a plus.
