This Certified Medical Assistant will provide clinical support by assisting physicians during patient exams and procedures, including taking histories, recording vital signs, and documenting in the EHR. Responsibilities also include administering treatments, educating patients on health matters, and coordinating follow-up care.
Candidates must possess a valid and current certification for Medical Assisting in the state of Iowa from an accredited program. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred, and familiarity with the EPIC system is considered a plus.
We are seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education. Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA) Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
