Patient Care Techs are integral to a patient-focused team, using their skills to carry out the task of helping others while serving as the communication hub for the patient care environment. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members, communicating pertinent information, supporting performance improvement, and providing quality customer service.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, along with at least six months of nursing assistant experience or certification, and must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within two weeks of hire. Required attributes include legible printing, clear speaking voice, computer skills, and the ability to handle the emotional stress of caring for acutely ill patients.
Medical terminology required prior to unit orientation or documentation of formal class within three (3) years Previous experience Multi-language ability
