The physician is responsible for providing quality medical services, engaging in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, and rendering medical treatment consistent with professional standards of care. This role also requires completing accurate medical records, providing after-hours call coverage, and participating in academic activities like teaching and research.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, successfully complete residency, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Oncology. Required credentials include medical staff privileges, a state medical license, a Controlled Substance License, and a Drug Enforcement Agency Number.
