The Clinical Pharmacist supervises the dispensing of all medication to ensure the correct medication, strength, and dosage form are provided safely and timely to the correct patient, adhering to professional judgment and hospital policies. This role also involves safeguarding patients by screening drug regimens for potential issues and providing drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
Candidates must have a degree from an approved College of Pharmacy and should be registered or eligible for registration in the state, possessing thorough knowledge of pharmacy theory and practice. Desirable qualifications include hospital experience, BLS certification, and membership in professional associations.
Degree from approved College of Pharmacy. Should be registered or eligible for registration in this state. BLS preferred. Membership in professional associations is desirable.
Should possess thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of pharmacy. Hospital experience is desirable, but On-the-job training is provided since many tasks and methods are indigenous to hospital pharmacy.
Should type accurately and with moderate speed. Basic computer skills. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly appearance at all times. Able to work under stress and have a high level of personal and professional ethics and conduct.
