The primary duties involve operating x-ray and auxiliary equipment to perform various exams according to established standards, which includes preparing the patient and positioning them correctly for radiographs. The role also requires processing and maintaining exposed images, ensuring proper labeling, and maintaining all required documentation.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Required credentials include New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and current BLS certification, with ARRT registration required for positions filled after a specific date.
Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment processes images; maintains and cleans equipment. Maintains required documentation.
