The Radiology Technologist assists physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment. They ensure patient safety and comfort, explain procedures, and prioritize workflow based on patient conditions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be graduates of an accredited Radiology program. Two years of experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred, along with ARRT certification or registry eligibility.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required. Cleans examination surfaces between patients. Provides clean linen including sheets, gowns, pillowcases, and towels. Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions. Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
