1 - 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience Additional Information: Responsibilities: Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high-quality breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds. Maintains an adequate level of supplies and keeps the workspace clean. Communicates mammography exam procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination. Provides patient education regarding mammography and breast health. Assists with records management and scheduling appointments. Obtains patient history and enters into Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Schedules exams and reviews previous records to determine correct studies are performed. Ensures exams are completed, and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems. Enrolls patients in BreastCare Program as appropriate. Maintains knowledge of breast procedures, including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI-guided biopsy, and needle localizations through continuing education and professional development. Completes other duties as requested.
