This role involves delegating tasks to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides while focusing on patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation according to professional standards and physician orders. Key duties include developing and submitting goal-specific treatment regimes, scheduling treatments, and educating patients, families, or caregivers on conditions and interventions.
Candidates must possess an Occupational Therapist (OTR) credential, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and NBCOT certification, with some certifications like iChat and TEAM ADVANCED required upon hire or within a specified timeframe. A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required, though a Master's Degree is preferred, alongside demonstrated competency in English communication and basic computer skills.
This position delegates responsibility to the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Aides. Activities of this position are patient focused and utilize assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with occupational therapy standards, physician orders, and governing policies and procedures.
