The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean environment, promptly answering call lights, and accurately documenting care provided.
Candidates must possess current CNA certification in New Mexico and current CPR certification, with prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred. Essential requirements include a compassionate demeanor, commitment to resident-centered care, strong clinical skills, and the physical stamina and resilience to handle the demands of the role.
Description As a CNA you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends, Dayshift, 8-hour shifts
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New Mexico. Current CPR certification. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting preferred. Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor. Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion. Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation. Physical Requirements: Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to care for residents in person. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist. Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed. Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs. Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed. Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager. The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations. The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
