The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting independence, and ensuring comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, mobility, monitoring vital signs, assisting with meals, and maintaining a clean, safe patient environment.
Candidates must possess current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New Mexico and current CPR certification, with prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred. The role demands physical stamina, the ability to lift and transfer residents safely, emotional resilience, and a commitment to providing empathetic, resident-centered care.
Description As a CNA you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our residents, assisting with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends, Evening 8 Hours, 2pm to 10pm
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New Mexico. Current CPR certification. Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting preferred. Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor. Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion. Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation. Physical Requirements: Work performed in a medical setting due to the need to care for residents in person. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and twist. Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed. Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs. Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed. Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager. The job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations. The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing. The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
