The Nursing Assistant assists the Registered Nurse by providing patient care according to the individualized plan, performing delegated basic nursing activities, conducting data collection, monitoring, and documenting patient status. Key accountabilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, turning and repositioning patients, transporting patients, and providing comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and must have completed a nursing assistant or patient care technician program, with no previous experience required. A mandatory certification is the CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
