The Paramedic will perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion and EKG acquisition, assist with airway management, and support during medical emergencies. They will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective trauma care and patient management.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and basic EMT training or ER experience. Current BLS certification is required upon hire, with ACLS and PALS certifications needed within 30 days.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by our hospital policy Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care
