The Hospice Staff RN provides nursing care to hospice patients in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring care aligns with the philosophy and purpose of HIA Hospice. Responsibilities include managing hospice referrals, patient admissions, physical assessments, symptom management, and providing emotional support as approved by physicians or the medical director.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an RN degree, with a BSN preferred, and have at least one year of experience as a hospital staff nurse or two years in healthcare. Required certifications include current RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota (or willingness to obtain) and a valid driver's license with auto insurance.
The Hospice Staff RN provides a provision of nursing care to hospice patients in coordination with the interdisciplinary team (IDG) that is consistent with the goals, definitions, philosophy, and purpose of HIA Hospice. All nursing care, as approved by patients’ primary physicians or the hospice medical director, including hospice referrals, patient admissions, physical assessments, symptom management and emotional support. This position is full-time, benefit eligible and will be based out of our Fargo office and serve the surrounding communities.
