The X-Ray Technologist performs various radiologic procedures in an outpatient setting, adhering to radiologist protocols while ensuring high levels of customer service and patient care. Key duties include accurately inputting patient information, maintaining supplies, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved Radiologic Technology course, preferably with two or more years of experience in the field. Current ARRT certification and Florida Department of Health licensure are mandatory, with Mammography certification being a plus.

The X-Ray Technologist performs a variety of radiologic procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaininga high level of customer service and quality patient care. The responsibilities of the X-ray Technologist includeperforming routine X-Ray procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and demonstratingcompassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction.
1. Performs routine X-Ray procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Competentlyperforms procedures with limited supervision.
2. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history, referringproviders, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure. Able to burn CDs perpatient request.
3. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Assumesresponsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort.
4. Takes responsibility to stock exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.
5. Floats to various locations when necessary.
6. Customer Service; Communicates effectively with staff and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner. promotes teamwork by assisting other staff as needed. Words and actions support team improvement.
7. Maintains credentials for position.
2 or more years in the Radiology field is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology which is approved by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists.
Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the FloridaDepartment of Health. Additional Mammography certification is a plus.
Skills in properly positioning patients and obtaining diagnostic images, identifying equipment problems, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and public.
This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with or without corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance. This position may require lifting 50 plus pounds.
