The Optometrist is responsible for providing comprehensive, quality eye and vision care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing corrective measures. This role also involves ensuring convenient access to optometric services and collaborating with administration and other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must possess a current/valid Massachusetts therapeutics level optometry license and be eligible for board certification if applicable, demonstrating a commitment to community health for the Hilltown population regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Essential duties include maintaining licensure, participating in continuing education, and adhering to all organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
The Optometrist reports to the Director of Optometry and provides comprehensive, high-quality eye and vision care to HCHC patients. This role is responsible for delivering patient-centered optometric services including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and coordination of care within an integrated healthcare setting. The Optometrist works collaboratively with primary care providers and other health professionals to ensure patients receive coordinated, whole-person care. Requirements and Qualifications Current Massachusetts Optometrist (OD) License with therapeutic privileges. Eligible for board certification in optometry, if applicable. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply. Location Huntington and Amherst, MA Schedule Part-time – 20 hours per week Pay Range $88,498 – $104,254
