The Dental Assistant provides four-handed assistance to the dentist and ensures quality patient care. Key duties include taking radiographs, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining operatory infection control.
Candidates must possess a Massachusetts Dental Assisting License and a radiology certification meeting state requirements. Ability to travel between the Worthington and Huntington locations is required.
Clinical assisting. Taking radiographs. Maintaining instruments and machinery. Proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and handpieces. Be current on new requirements for sterilization and maintenance. Inventory supplies. Maintaining stocked dental supplies. Accompany patients to/from waiting area. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Water line maintenance and flushing as needed. Operatory infection control Utilize patient mouth rinse prior to any procedures. Verify patient’s medications and health history, advise dentist.
MA Dental Assisting License, Radiology certification or course that meets MA requirements Ability to travel between multiple organizational locations as needed Availability for this position is at our Worthington and Huntington sites
