The Monitoring Technician performs standard work related to telemetry monitoring for patients requiring continuous cardiac observation and provides analysis of cardiac rhythms in compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards. This role also involves the interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac rhythms and other monitored parameters.
A High School diploma, GED, or one year of relevant work experience is the minimum requirement, along with successful completion of Arrhythmia recognition and interpretation training before orientation. Preferred experience includes roles like nurse aide, EMT, or PCT, and holding a Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician credential.
