• Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital an Affiliate of Encompass Health 189 May St, Worcester MA 01602 Registered Dietitian - Per Diem (Pool) Hourly Rate - $35.00 / Hour Appreciated for your Dietitian Skills - As a dietitian at Encompass Health, you'll play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans.
• Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing dietary plans, and providing education on healthy eating habits.
• In this role, you will instruct patients on post-discharge diets and monitor their nutritional status.
• Purpose - The Dietitian plans diets and confers with patients, doctors, nursing staff and patient family members concerning these diets.
• The position monitors Nutrition Services provided to patients to ensure their standards of care are met in accordance with all associated regulatory agencies and the administrative policies of the hospital.
• Responsibilities & Tasks - Communicates with and counsels patients per physician orders and diet instructions; communicates with physicians and other involved disciplines in patient care; documents pertinent information in patient's medical record according to established standards; implements nutritional care plans, adapting menus, assisting patients with special dietary needs; collaborate with Nutrition Services Manager to maintain patient safety and appropriate therapeutic diets.

Qualifications

Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; State licensure required; Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred; Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition; One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
