The Registered Nurse functions as the Charge Nurse, overseeing nursing care and supervising LPNs, CNAs, and Mental Health Technicians while ensuring care meets ANA standards and utilizes evidence-based practice. Responsibilities also include collaborating on treatment programs, serving as Medication Nurse when needed, and acting as a liaison between program and medical staff.
Candidates must possess Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of operation and hold a Bachelor’s, associate degree, or diploma in nursing with a focus on treating psychiatric patients. A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required, with at least one year dedicated to mentally ill patients, or documented supervision from a master’s prepared psychiatric nurse.
