The Licensed Nurse will function as the nurse for their assigned shift, responsible for providing nursing care delivery and supervising the clinical program while coordinating total patient care with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Essential duties include accurately reporting patient conditions, preparing clinical notes daily, assisting patients with activities of daily living, and implementing all physician orders.
Candidates must possess a Registered Nurse Licensure in Louisiana and require Basic Life Support Certification, with Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification obtainable upon hire. The role demands full physical capabilities, including lifting patients, dexterity, and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

What does the Licensed Nurse do? (including but not limited to) At the Maples, The Licensed Nurse will focus on helping teenage girls who are struggling with their mental health, including trauma, disordered eating, and/or substance abuse. We are currently searching for compassionate nurses to work at our new residential treatment center facility in Hammond.
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
