The assistant performs physical therapy programs and treatments directed by the physical therapist for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in inpatient and outpatient settings. This role also involves providing educational programs to employees and patients, requiring courtesy and patience when interacting with all parties.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant and have technical training in using physical therapy equipment for both inpatient and outpatient settings. A minimum of two years of licensed clinical experience and current CPR certification for all age groups are mandatory requirements.

Performs physical therapy programs and treatments as directed by the physical therapist for inpatient & outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Provides employee and patient educational programs as directed. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Georgia Board of Physical Therapy Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED Two (2) years of licensed clinical experience.
