The Nurse Practitioner performs physical examinations, orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess patient needs, and formulates comprehensive care plans in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals. Responsibilities also include prescribing treatments, medications, and referring patients to specialized resources as necessary.
Candidates must be graduates of accredited nursing and masters of nursing programs, meeting state requirements for Nurse Practitioners in Wisconsin or Illinois, and hold valid RN and APNP licenses. Additional requirements include maintaining an acceptable driving record if operating vehicles and possessing excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
