The Licensed Practical Nurse performs direct patient care and nursing procedures under supervision, observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions and administering prescribed treatments as permitted by regulations. Key duties include implementing the nursing component of the care plan, assisting providers with procedures, and documenting progress notes in the electronic medical record.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold current, unrestricted licensure with the State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners. Required qualifications also include current CPR/BLS certification, TB and Flu vaccination, and the ability to meet physical demands such as frequent standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing detailed dexterity tasks.
Constant ability to read information, including close up; constant ability to use a computer screen; frequent use of good overall vision, including color perception.
