The Echocardiography Technologist performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures using ultrasound technology to capture images of the heart and supports cardiac services for the designated patient population. Essential duties include explaining procedures, ensuring patient safety, performing studies per protocol, operating equipment, documenting findings, and communicating results effectively with physicians.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program, be a licensed Cardiovascular Technologist or Technician, or possess two years of on-the-job training in cardiac ultrasound experience. BLS certification is preferred, and experience in Adult, Pediatric, or Fetal Echocardiography is advantageous.
