The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for the procurement of blood and the analytical evaluation of blood and other body fluids, ensuring all tests are performed with accuracy and precision. This role also requires performing and recording data from quality control procedures while operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation.
Candidates must complete an accredited two-year associate degree program in clinical laboratory science, or possess a certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from a regionally accredited college or University and be certified by ASCP or AMT. Certification eligibility will be considered, but certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
