The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will schedule, plan, and deliver prescribed occupational therapy treatments and home instruction to patients under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities also include assisting in therapeutic activities, maintaining communication with professionals and families, and reporting on patient progress.
Candidates must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and possess a current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider card. The role requires assisting in various therapeutic duties while adhering to physician orders and reporting findings.
As a COTA, under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR), you will schedule, plan, and deliver prescribed occupational therapy treatments and home instruction to patients. Responsibilities include assisting in various therapeutic activities, maintaining communication with healthcare professionals and families, gathering assessment information, interpreting physician orders, providing patient education, and reporting weekly on patient progress.
