The Medical Scribe will transcribe patient orders, accompany providers during examinations to document history and physicals, and complete patient charts by summarizing consultations and diagnoses. They will also monitor chart progress, navigate the EMR for past records, and manage the organization and uploading of transmittable information.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with a Bachelor's Degree in a science or healthcare field preferred. Essential competencies include strong computer, organizational, time management, advanced language, grammar, and medical terminology skills, alongside high accountability and strong interpersonal effectiveness.

A growing (and very busy) fertility center is looking for a Medical Scribe to keep our providers focused on patient care while you master the art of the chart. If you’re organized, quick on the keyboard, and fascinated by reproductive medicine, this might be your perfect behind-the-scenes role in helping people build families.
This is a full-time opportunity working on-site at our Fertility Center of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. The position has an expectation of 40hrs per week (Monday - Friday) and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our Medical Scribe recruiting pay range is $17.74 - $21.38.
Under the direction of the physician/provider, transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, imaging tests, medications, etc. May accompany the physician/provider into the patient examination area to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician/provider. Completes the patient’s chart by summarizing consultation and or examination, listing all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions. Monitors chart progress to ensure workup is complete and the practitioner can make timely decisions regarding the patient’s care. Navigates the EMR to look up pertinent past medical records. Retrieves, organizes, prioritizes, stores, and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology. Pre-loads new patient charts and uploads images into the EHR.
What do you need to bring to the role: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree (complete or in progress) in science or healthcare related field preferred. Advanced language and grammar skills both verbal and written, and knowledge of medical terminology.
