The Medical Assistant provides clinical care by preparing patients for examinations and assisting providers during treatments and procedures. They are also responsible for recording medical histories, documenting vital signs, and maintaining a sterile clinical environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a former military Medical Technician. Certification as a Medical Assistant and CPR/BLS certification are preferred or required within a specific timeframe of employment.
