The physical therapist assistant will administer a medically prescribed physical therapy program for assigned patients under the supervision of the physical therapist. This includes providing treatment within the scope of their license and accountability for implementing the written treatment plan according to stated goals.
Candidates must be a graduate from a physical therapist assistant training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association and hold an Associate degree. A State of Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant License or eligibility prior to hire, along with American Heart Association BLS or equivalent, is required.
