This licensed Medical Technologist is responsible for the daily processing, analysis, and reporting of laboratory specimens, performing standard duties without assistance from higher-level technologists. Essential functions include designing and updating testing procedures, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring adherence to all laboratory safety and quality control protocols.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical lab science or medical technology, along with a valid ASCP or AMT certification. Three or more years of related job experience is preferred, and the individual must maintain continuing education requirements for certification and licensure.
The person in this position is a licensed Medical Technologist (MT) who is responsible for day to day specimen processing, analysis and results reporting. The person in this position performs the standard duties of a Medical Technologist and will consult Medical Technologist III if necessary.
