The Medical Assistant will provide direct and indirect patient care at the Duke Triangle Heart Associates Clinic, performing duties such as patient intake, vital signs, heart monitor placement, phlebotomy, and EKG. Responsibilities also include assisting staff in emergencies, preparing diagnostic materials, and handling clerical tasks like reminder calls and stocking rooms.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and required certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA, along with BLS certification. Level I requires no experience, while Level II requires one year of clinical experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
