The Respiratory Therapist administers medications and performs therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system. They respond to emergency situations and manage life support for patients.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a current State of Michigan License in Respiratory Care. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS are required within specified timeframes.
Certifications and Licensures
Education: Associates Degree
Degree in Healthcare Related Field. Required to maintain CEU's for license. Two (2) years clinical experience working in medical center or similar setting.
