Job description

The Registered CT/MRI Technologist arranges patients for Magnetic Resonance and\nComputed Tomography examinations. Produces MR and CT images to aid in the\ndiagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patients from being exposed to\nunnecessary radiation. CT/MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of\npatient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient\nscreening by using pre-established protocols for any ferrous materials and\nmedical device history, safe administration of contrast media, and utilizes\ndepartmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of\nthe job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works\nunder minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties.
